An autograph album of Elizabeth Sarah Roberts, Llanrwst, wife of the Reverend Thomas Roberts ('Scorpion'), containing entries, 1859-1879, by Ellis Thomas Davies, Abergele, Richard Parry ('Gwalchmai'), Hugh Pugh, Mostyn, William Rees ('Gwilym Hiraethog'), William Williams ('Caledfryn'), and others.

Baptismal register, 1837-1900 (watermark 1836) of Cyssegr Congregational Church, Rhewl, Mostyn, Flintshire. The volume also contains transcripts of baptismal entries, 1832-1837, taken from an earlier register which was subsequently deposited with the Registrar General, and is now held in The National Archives. Most of the entries in this volume are in the hands of the Reverends Hugh Pugh and E. Pan Jones, successive ministers of Cyssegr Congregational Church.
Also included is a list of marriages solemnised at Cyssegr, 1837-1868 (ff. 73 verso-75 verso); an extract from the chapel deed (f. ii); copies of baptismal entries, 1824-1833, for the children of the Reverend William Rees ('Gwilym Hiraethog'), Hugh Pugh's predecessor as minister of Cyssegr Congregational Church (f. ii verso); and, loose at the beginning of the volume, a newspaper cutting, [1949], relating to the donation of the manuscript to the National Library of Wales.

Summaries of about one hundred and thirty sermons, 1828-1860 and undated, preached by Owen Owens at Rhes-y-cae, Waendymarch [Nannerch], and Salem [Cilcain]. Two sermons are written on the dorse of two holograph letters, relating to preaching engagements, respectively from Tho[ma]s Jones, Newmarket, 1828, and Hugh Pugh, Mostyn, 1846. Among a few miscellaneous papers at the end of the group is a draft petition, undated, by Owen Owens for financial assistance.

Notebooks and loose papers containing notes of sermons by, and in the hand of, the Reverend Hugh Pugh of Llandrillo and Mostyn. Cwrtmawr MSS 985 and 986 appear to have been written during the period 1829-31, when the writer was at Llandrillo, while Cwrtmawr MS 987 was written some time later. There are notes with many of the sermons which indicate that they were later preached a number of times during the period 1837-1868.

A notebook bearing the name of H[ugh] Pugh, London, December 1821, containing various entries, c. 1822-4. Loose papers of later date in the volume indicate that the owner was the Reverend Hugh Pugh (1803-68), generally known as the Reverend Hugh Pugh, Mostyn, Flintshire. The contents include an account of a journey by coach from (?)Hackney to Cambridge, Newmarket, Norwich, etc., 18 March-4 April [1822], followed by a note: 'Started from London for Wales (on Saturday) either the 26 or 27 of June 1822', sermons (one dated 'Llanfihangel Jan 4th. 1824 - Sunday') and sermon notes (partly in pencil), items of verse including 'Penillion Nadolig gan E. Evans Ty mawr Towyn', and various notes and extracts ('Extracts from Cicero's Letters to his Son', 'Legal Errors', etc.).

A small notebook probably in the autograph of the Reverend Hugh Pugh (1803-68), Mostyn inscribed '"Tarian Rhyddyd" &c. Novr. 1838' and containing minutes, November 1838 - July 1839, and a list of co-proprietors in connection with Tarian Rhyddid, a Dymchwelydd Gormes, a monthly publication, the first number of which appeared in January 1839. The 'Reverend H. Pugh' is named as secretary and the Reverend W[illia]m Rees as editor. At the reverse end of the volume are some sermon notes.
