An indexed account-book, 1794-1800, relating, it seems, to the third edition of 'Beibl Peter Williams'. Many of the entries to about the middle of May 1796 appear to be in the autograph of the Reverend Peter Williams (1723-96) while some of the entries from about 1794 are by the Reverend Peter Bailey Williams. The first page of the index appears to be wanting.

A transcript by Peter Bailey Williams (1763-1836), Llanrug, with emendations, annotations and additions, of an autobiography ('Life') of his father Peter Williams (1723-96), Methodist cleric, of Llandyfaelog, Carmarthenshire, written c. 1794, and of 'My father's own account of his Disagreement with the Methodists'.

A volume of transcripts by D. Pryse Williams, Troedyraur, of printed poetry by, and relating to, Peter Williams (1723-96), Gellilednais, Llandyfaelog. (I) A home-made notebook of Morris Davies of Bangor (1796-1876), author, hymnologist and musician, containing material towards a biography of the Reverend Peter Williams (1723-96) and draft resolutions of a committee of Tabernacle Calvinistic Methodist Church, Bangor, 1851-2 (with a reference to the proposed erection of 'Capel Upper Bangor' i.e. Twr-gwyn Chapel). The volume is made up of a variety of printed and manuscript sheets, including an undated printed appeal for subscriptions towards the presentation of his own portrait to Ebenezer Thomas ('Eben Fardd'), an undated printed prospectus of E. Williams, milliner and dress maker, High Street, Bangor; a notice of a meeting of the Provisional Directors of the Rhiw Bach Slate Quarries Company, 1853; a letter from the Reverend John Hughes, Liverpool to M[orris] Davies, 1848 (enclosing books, the possible re-publication of a book of hymns); a printed prospectus of Samuel Roberts, Bangor Agency, China Tea Company, 1852; a letter from Ebenezer M. Roberts, Pwllheli to [Morris Davies], 1853 (the debt still remaining on Penymount Chapel) (with a draft reply); a printed prospectus of [J.] Russell's Menai Bathing Machines, Gored-y-Gyd, Bangor, 1853; and letters from Morris Davies to [ ], undated (an appointment), Croxon, Jones, C[o.], [bankers], Oswestry to John Jones, currier, Llanfyllin, 1838 (a payment), and Thomas Gee, Denbigh to [Morris Davies], 1850 (an allocation to the recipient from the proceeds of Y Traethodydd for 1849). (Ii) A small notebook containing a copy of a letter written in response to a letter published in Y Gwyliedydd, XI (1834), pp. 296-8, relating to the Reverend Peter Williams.

An imperfect volume of hymns by and in the hand of John Williams (1728-1806) of St Athan, Glamorgan. The titles include 'Can Nalolig [sic] nei Haul Song ar Washinton's March'; 'Hymn ar y Tweed'; 'Arall ar yr adnodau blaena or 63 o Esia' ('Pwy welaf o Edon [sic] yn dod ...'); 'Arall ar yr adnodau cyn[t]af o 5 o Datg[u]ddiad'; 'Rhai myfyrdodau mewn twymin ar y nerfiau yr hon a barhodd o ddechre awst i ddiwedd medi 1789'; ['Cân Ddiddarfod'] with annotations ('diwedd llan Tathan Gorphen Haf 1791 J.W.') (printed in Gomer Morgan Roberts: Bywyd a Gwaith Peter Williams (Caerdydd, 1943), pp. 155-160); 'Ar gini winser'; etc. Insets include a typescript copy of 'Can V' [i.e. 'Cân Ddiddarfod'] from Can Diddarfod: sef, Pennillion Addysgiadol, o gyfansoddiad Ioan ap Gwilim, St Athan ... ([Caerfyrddin] 1793); 'Darn o Hymn o waith y diweddar Barchedig Peter Will[iams] o Gaerfyrddin' (written on the blank leaf of a letter addressed to Griffith Williams, Ynyswaun, Llanor, Llyn (printed in Gomer Morgan Roberts: op. cit., p. 170)); John Williams: Carol Plygain neu Gan Nadolig (Caerlleon, n.d.); and a cutting from Seren [Cymru], 18 August [19]16, of a letter by H[ywel] C[ernyw] Williams, relating to the authorship of a hymn by John Williams. The original brown paper cover is inscribed 'ir Parch[ed]ig Mr Peter Williams' and the modern cloth binding is lettered in gold 'MS Parch. J. Williams, 1791'.

Letters and papers relating to the Reverend Peter Williams (1723-96), including two holograph letters, 19 May 1789 and 27 June 1789, fom Peter Williams writing from Carmarthen and Gelly to his son, the Reverend Eliezer Williams at Lord Galloway's, Galloway House, Scotland; a holograph sermon in Welsh by Peter Williams on Isa. 63, 4; other holograph items consisting of verses headed 'Antichristian Tradition' and (?) part of a poem entitled 'Babilon's fall', part of a draft of a letter to Mr Jones of Llan Gan, a draft of a letter concerning bull-baiting, a draft of a letter [?1777] to [Lady Huntingdon], and drafts of a letter to [ ] praying that a day of humiliation be appointed and of a letter to an unnamed person inviting him to subscribe to the writer's edition of Cann's Bible; a letter, 1834, from William Jones, [Llan Engan], to an unnamed person containing references to the persecution and excommunication of Peter Williams; a notebook in the autograph of Peter Bailey Williams containing a 'Copy of a Letter from the late Reverend Peter Williams to the Methodist Association about 1793', a letter (copy) from [Peter Williams] 'to the Revd Mr Jones of Llan Gann. Glam:', writings by Peter Williams on the Trinity including one 'To the Leaders of the Welsh Methodists on the Trinity: or rather the author of a Pamphlet on that subject', and two other letters from Peter Williams to the Association, one in Welsh, the other in English, etc.; letters to J. H. Unrelated items include letters to J. H. Davies from F. W. Bussell, Wimbledon, 1921, A. J. C. Guimaraens, London, 1924, John T. Jôb, Abergwaun, 1924, and Walter Spurrell, Carmarthen, 1915, a letter, undated, from Eluned [Morgan], Cardiff to an unnamed correspondent, and a letter, [19]17 from Rich[ar]d T. Greer, Llanbadarn, to [ ] Vaughan. There is also a press-cutting concerning Dafydd Jones o Drefriw.

A volume containing material relating to the Reverend Peter Williams (1723-96), Gellilednais, Llandyfaelog consisting almost entirely of transcripts of letters, 1783-94 and undated, written by him to his sons Eliezer Williams (1754-1820) and Peter Bailey Williams (1763-1836) (see Gomer Morgan Roberts: Bywyd a Gwaith Peter Williams (Caerdydd, 1943), Atodiad VI, pp. 203-16). The transcripts were made on 27-28 February, 1896.

Transcripts of fifteen letters, 1783-94, from the Reverend Peter Williams (1723-96) to his sons, Eliezer Williams and Peter [Bailey] Williams (see also Cwrtmawr MS 181A). The originals of thirteen of the letters are to be found in NLW MS 18262E and the original of one letter, dated 19 May 1789, is in Cwrtmawr MS 940B.

Thomas ['Eben Fardd'], 1853 (thanks for an English translation of a song by the writer, unfavourable prospects for the Bangor eisteddfod, the writer's taking of Nant-y-Bettws Quarry), and Richard Parry ('Gwalchmai'), Llandudno to G. Lewis, 1879 (eisteddfod compositions).

A small notebook which belonged to J. H. Davies containing bibliographical references to the Reverend Peter Williams, mainly from William Rowlands (Gwilym Lleyn) (ed. D. Silvan Evans), Llyfryddiaeth y Cymry (Llanidloes, 1869), together with a few biographical notes. At the reverse end of the volume are a few notes relating to (?) Cardiganshire Highways Committee and some observations on Sir Owen M. Edwards, perhaps for an article or an address.

Miscellaneous papers, including an extract 'From the Mabinogion of Lady Guest' [cf. The Mabinogion ... translated with notes, by Lady Charlotte Guest (London, 1877), pp. 74-6], a list of early Welsh books (in the autograph of [Thomas Edward Ellis], an extract from Kinmel MS 76 [NLW MS 1576] relating to Thomas Lloyd of Penmaen, and a bibliography entitled '"Y Bardd Cwsc" by Elis Wyn o Lasynys' [cf. The Journal of the Welsh Bibliographical Society, Vol. IV, pp. 199-208]. There are also a number of blue wrappers from past issues of 'Beibl Peter Williams' (1770) and the Welsh edition of Cann's Bible (1790) with printed proposals, Trefecca, 1786, relating to the latter, and part of a notebook (eighteenth century), which belonged to David Jones of Bryn y Rhig near Dolgelly and others, containing a few 'englynion', etc.

Two notebooks in different hands, each containing a sermon. One of the sermons was preached at Llandeilo, 1752, at Aber[nan]t in 1758 and at Cynwil [?Elfed] and Newchurch in 1758. Accompanying the sermons is a holograph letter from J. B. Jones, Abernant, Talog Road, Carmarthen to Miss [ ] Williams, 1914 (enclosing an extract from the vestry book, 1746, admitting Peter Williams to read prayers and to preach at Abernant parish church).
