An album of annotated autographs, photographs and engravings, printed matter, press cuttings, etc., compiled during the years 1858-1881. The volume is almost entirely devoted to persons who were prominent in the literary and musical life of Wales during this period, and it appears from internal evidence to have been well known to the compiler's friends and contemporaries. The autographs are largely in the form of personal entries, recorded mainly at national and other eisteddfodau, but there are also a number of mounted holograph letters, 'cut-out' signatures from holograph letters, and franks. Cân newydd Gorph. 27 1802'; a poem entitled 'My Mother. [Griffith Williams ('Gutyn Peris')], who has made his amendments and critical remarks in pencil. The titles are 'Awdl ... er Coffadwriaeth am y Diweddar ... Charlotte Augusta, Merch Tywysog Cymru ... ', 'Awdl ... yn goffadwriaeth am Y Parchedig Thomas Charles B.A. o'r Bala ... ', and '[Cywydd] y Bedd'. W. J. The letters are addressed to John Roberts ('Sion Lleyn'), Pwllheli (4), 1791-1806 (corrections to addressee's poetry, tributes to writer's brother, Humphrey, after his death, some short poetical compositions by the writer), to Griffith Williams ('Gutyn Peris'), Llandygai (8), 1799-1819, (poetry, subjects upon which writer desired addressee to compose hymns, meetings of bards and eisteddfodau, comments and news of contemporary poets, writer's health and work), and one letter, addressee not named, 1804, (addressee's poetry which writer had received, desires addressee to render 2 Samuel XXII in strict metres and to ask other poets to do the same). O Gasgliad Myfyriad ag argraffiad John Rhydderch 1728 ...' 'Barsillai. Pregeth, a Bregethwyd Yn St Marie Aldermanburie; Yn Llundain. Gan Robert Harris; Gwyryf Difynyddiaeth. Ac a gyfiaethiwyd, o'r Saesoneg I'r Gymraeg, gan Robt. Hughes Athraw Ysgol ym Mhenmynydd', the translator's preface ('Y Darllenydd') being dated at Penmynydd 28 September, 1761; and lesser miscellaneous items, among them being an extract from 'Llyfr Y Weddi Gyffredin Yn ôl Athrawiaeth Ac Awdurdod Belzebub', 'A brief Introduction to Understand the New Invented Sliding Rule', Welsh and English poetry (of which one composition is dated 1763) and an incomplete and undated draft receipt from Elizabeth Griffith, wife of Wm. A manuscript described as 'Llyfr o hen areithiau a Chywyddau' in the hand of Michael Prichard of Llan Llyfni. It contains poetry, largely in the form of 'cywyddau', by Michael Prichard, Sion Phylipp, Sion Tydur, Rhys Cain, Huw Llwyd Cynfel, Robert ab Howel ab Morgan, William Llyn, Dafydd ab Euan ab Owen, y Rhys ab Ednyfed, Owen Griffith, Thomas Lloyd [recte Prys] (Plas Iolyn), Dafydd Manuel, Wmphrey Dafydd ab Ifan ('Clochydd Llann brenn Mair'), Elis Rowland, Gryffydd ap Llywelyn Fychan, Wiliam Cynwal, Edward ap Rhys, and Thomas Llwyd (Penmen), and anonymous poems; 'Hanes y Twrstan, neu araith S. Tudyr', 'Breuddwyd Sion Tudur', and 'Prognosticasiwn Sion Tydur'; and a mediaeval Welsh glossary ('Llymma bart o'r hen Gymraeg; ar iaith arferedig wrthi') extracted from a book of Thomas Price of Plas Jolyn. The volume was compiled during the period 1726-9. There are a few additions in other hands, among them 'englynion' in praise and in memory of Michael Prichard by William Elias, [Griffith Williams] ('Gutyn Peris'), etc. At the end are two incomplete indexes, the one by Michael Prichard and the other by Owen Williams, Waunfawr. The spine is lettered 'Michael Prichard MS'.

A book into which Peter Bailey Williams of Llanrug copied Welsh poetry between 1799 and 1834. A transcript by the Reverend William Roberts, Abergele, of a manuscript herbal 'Llysieu-Lyfr yn cynnwys enwau amryw ddail, a'u rhinwedd i iachâu amryw glefydau' by, or belonging to, Owen Rowland, Blaen y Nant, Llandygai, Caernarfonshire, herbalist and bone-setter, and of additional entries attributed to Griffith Williams ('Gutyn Peris'), Hugh Derfel Hughes and others. Extensive notes have been added, mainly in red, by William Roberts. The volume is inscribed 'Dyma derfyn y llyfr a gopïais ai gynnwys oll.
