An album or commonplace book originally kept at the New Inn, Llanberis. It contains a short sketch of the history of Llanberis, a note on John Closs, who died of exposure on Snowdon in 1805, with lines composed on the occasion by P[eter] B[ailey] W[illiams]; a 'Sonnet to Snowdon' by Miss Locke; odes to Snowdon, 1819; a 'Sketch of Snowdon for the benefit of sojourners at Llanberis' by Colonel Bell; a note on Evan Evans ('Ieuan Brydydd Hir') with an elegy by R. Williams of Vron near Mold, 1790; a sonnet by Kirke White; particulars of ashes carted, 1823-1827; and notes of visitors to the Inn, 1819.

An indexed account-book, 1794-1800, relating, it seems, to the third edition of 'Beibl Peter Williams'. Many of the entries to about the middle of May 1796 appear to be in the autograph of the Reverend Peter Williams (1723-96) while some of the entries from about 1794 are by the Reverend Peter Bailey Williams. The first page of the index appears to be wanting.

A notebook marked 'Copy No 1' containing an account of the hundred of Eifionydd followed by the beginning of an account of the hundred of Llŷn or Lleyn and a note on 'Dinas a Llys Dinorwig' by Peter Bayley Williams, Llanrug (cf. Y Gwyliedydd, 1835, 310), this last in the autograph of John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd'). The material on Eifionydd bears a resemblance to 'Hanes Eifionydd' by W. Jones ('Bleddyn'), Llangollen (see Y Geninen, 1883, p. 59; 1884, pp. 69, 300) but the hand is probably that of 'Myrddin Fardd' at an early period of his life. Loose inside, pasted on a card, is a press-cutting concerning Enwau Lleoedd Sir Gaernarfon (see Cwrtmawr MS 564).

A transcript by Peter Bailey Williams (1763-1836), Llanrug, with emendations, annotations and additions, of an autobiography ('Life') of his father Peter Williams (1723-96), Methodist cleric, of Llandyfaelog, Carmarthenshire, written c. 1794, and of 'My father's own account of his Disagreement with the Methodists'.

A volume containing 'cywyddau' and some 'englynion' by John Philips, Edmwnd Prys, Lewis Glyn Cothi, M'edydd ap R's, [? Huw Arwystli], ?Thomas Derllysc, Tudur Aled, John Tudyr, John Mowddwy, and Ifan Tew, and an imperfect 'cywydd'. Pp. 41-5, as stated by J. H. Davies in a note on the inside lower cover (and not pp. 35-9 as suggested by J. Gwenogvryn Evans) are in the hand of Sion Tudur. J. H. Davies has also stated, and J. Gwenogvryn Evans also suggested, that pp. 1-17 are in the hand of Edmwnd Prys, but this section is in fact in two hands (pp. 1-9, 9-17), neither of which resembles that of Prys. There are some additions in the hand of David Ellis, Cricieth (1736-95) and some marginal and other additions by Peter Bailey Williams (1763-1836), Llanrug.

There are numerous additions, variants, and annotations in the hands of Owen Williams, P[eter Bailey] W[illiams], [Griffith Williams] ('Gutyn Peris'), and [Professor Thomas Gwynn Jones]. The manuscript is bound uniformly with Cwrtmawr MS 10 and 12 and the spine is lettered 'Dafydd Ellis MS'.

The following song was written for the Manchester Cymreigyddion Society ... and sung by the writer to the Harp, and for which he was awarded the Prize' by 'Garmon'; and a note on the pedigree of the families of Gwynn (Wynn) of Maesne[u]add; Glyncywarch, etc., with panegyric verses. Added to 'Pennillion i annerch Cymdeithas y Cymraegyddion yn 'Llundain. Y dôn yw blodau'r dyffryn' by Edward Charles is the following postscript, - 'Gresyn na fyddai beirdd Cymry yn 'r oes hon yn canu ar yr hên Geingciau cymreig fel y pennillion hyn: mae'nt hwyth[a]u yn barddoni y rhan fynycha, a'r ryw Geingciau seisnig, yr hyn sydd hollol anghyttun a pheroriaeth y Cymro'. On one of the fly-leaves is an imperfect list of correspondents in the hand of John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd'), with additions in the hand of J. H. Davies.

A minute book of the Berriew branch of the Montgomeryshire Auxiliary of the British and Foreign Bible Society, 1818-20, together with lists of subscriptions and donations, 1818-25, and an account of Bibles distributed in the parish, 1819-23. An imperfect manuscript containing a Welsh vocabulary (Merth - ysgrynedig, and a few entries under Ch- ); 'Cronicl y Twysogion' ('Hyn adynnais yn dalfyr alhan o lyfr y Twysogion asgrifen[n]odh Cradog o Lan[n] Garrfan'); 'Hen hen[n]wau bagad o Brif dhinasoedh yr ynys hon, ar hen[n]wau sydh arnynt orig, a phwy ai gwnaeth hwynt'; 'Dwned'; 'Deg rhan gwahan[n]ieth Cristnogion y byd'; etc. The manuscript is in the same hand as Panton MS 68 (NLW MS 2034) pp. 33-48, which are dated 1650. Annotations by Peter Bailey Williams.

A small paper manuscript of the second half of the sixteenth century containing a calendar of Welsh saints ('llyma hennwav saint bryttaniaid'); a list of rivers largely in Cardiganshire ('llyma henway prif afonydd ag oble imaent yn tarddv allan oi dechreyad'); and 'Barnad owen ap vrien owaith argoed llwyfain' and 'Barnod [sic] vthvr pendragwn Cad arthvr owaith taliessin ben beirdd'. There are some additions by Peter Bailey Williams. The end papers consist of portions of pages of an early printed book.
