The file comprises typescripts of an article entitled 'The Welsh National Eisteddfod', 1926, and a lecture entitled 'Cerddoriaeth a Chenedlaetholdeb' delivered by W. S. Gwynn Williams at Shrewsbury, 2 November 1923.

The file contains the text of Lady White's speech at the Flint National Eisteddfod, 3 August 1969, together with photocopies of related correspondence and press cuttings.

Scripts of broadcasts, 1941, by J. Lloyd Williams on musical topics, some including related contracts and correspondence. The titles include 'Caneuon Gwerin: Cyngerdd'; a series entitled 'Music of Britain: Wales', including 'The Origin of the Welsh Folk Song Movement'; 'Welsh Chords' (contract only); 'Canu'r Eisteddfod' (contract only); 'The Music of the National Eisteddfod during the last 40 years' / 'Cerddoriaeth yr Eisteddfod Genedlaethol yn ystod y Deugain Mlynedd Diwethaf'; 'Hela Alawon' and 'Hela Hen Ganeuon'. A radio script, dated 11 March 1938, of a discussion between E. Morgan Humphreys and J. Lloyd Williams on Welsh folk songs is also included, together with a typescript copy of a list of suggestions for broadcasts.

Miscellaneous cards and tickets, 1889-1924 and undated, collected by J. H. Davies. They include calling cards, readers' tickets, invitations and admission cards, menus and toasts, and annual membership cards. They relate to events at, among other institutions, the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, the University of Wales, the Guild of Graduates of the University of Wales, the Honourable Society of Cymmrodorion, the National Library of Wales, the National Eisteddfod and the Welsh Bibliographical Society.

The file contains a characteristic mingling of personal and professional letters, many relating to political events and the proceedings of the House of Lords. Some letters refer to a ceremony at Rhymney during April 1990 to unveil a plaque to commemorate Thomas Jones's name, and others to the re-publication of his Rhymney Memories. A few concern preparations for the 1992 National Eisteddfod at Aberystwyth. The correspondents include Eric, Lord Ashby (2), 1990-1991, Robert, Lord Blake, 1990, HRH, Charles, Prince of Wales, 1990, Tam Dalyell MP, 1990, Derek, Lord Ezra, 1991, Emlyn, Lord Hooson, 1990, Barry Jones MP, and Sir Wyn Roberts, 1990.

Most of the letters date from the 1930's. Many of the letters concern public life in Wales and ecclesiastical and church matters, including the recipient's engagements and commitments. The file also contains notes and draft writings by Revd. Gwilym Davies, including the draft of an article by him entitled, 'The National Eisteddfod from within'.

A volume of miscellaneous press cuttings from Welsh and Welsh-American newspapers and periodical publications compiled, with some holograph annotations, by John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd'). Beirniadaeth' (by T. Stephens, Merthyr Tydfil), 'Sion Philip, Mochras', 'The British Kymry .... By the Rev. R. W. Notes on 'Edmund Jones O'r Transh' (near Pontypool), notes for an address given at Pwllheli in 1868, a summary of resolutions passed at a monthly meeting of Baptists in Caernarvonshire, and adjudications on eisteddfod essays, all in the autograph of 'Nefydd', together with a copy of a letter of appreciation which accompanied a testimonial made to him in 1867 in recognition of his services to education and to the national eisteddfod of Wales; a list of books, in the autograph of W. R. Roberts ('Ap Nefydd'), and with a note by him on E. R. G. Salusbury who bought some books from the 'Nefydd' library; etc.
