Termination of post as Clerk to the National Assembly for Wales

The file comprises papers relating to the departure of Sir Paul Silk as Clerk to the National Assembly for Wales in 2007, including various letters and e-mails thanking him for his work and wishing him well, correspondence relating to press interest in the severance arrangements, a statement on his departure by Sir Paul Silk and correspondence relating to the new interim structure in the Office of the Presiding Officer along with the text of a speech given to the Study of Parliament Group given by Sir Paul outlining why he believed that the Presiding Officer, Dafydd Elis-Thomas did not wish him to remain as Clerk.
