The 2014 group (no's 14-66) comprises family and political papers, including letters to his parent from Penang, 1930-1934, Cabinet Office, Colonial Office and Commonwealth papers relating to various colonies, particularly Sarawak and Burma, 1947-1970, and the investiture of the prince of Wales, 1967-1973.

Miscellaneous papers of David Lloyd George, [c. 1911]-[?1913], including notes in his hand for a speech on women's suffrage (ff. 1-5), an annotated typescript list, 1911, of Liberal and Labour members of parliament, showing their degree of support for proposed legislation relating to women's suffrage (ff. 6-12), memoranda written by David Lloyd George at Beachborough Park, Shorncliffe, in 1911, relating to the National Insurance Bill, with draft letters to Treasury civil servants, R. G. Hawtrey and W. J. Braithwaite (ff. 13-52), and typescript notes for a speech by David Lloyd George heralding the arrival of the National Eisteddfod at Abergavenny in 1913 (ff. 97-103).

Jones, journalist and Labour Party activist. Most of the letters are from Lord Elystan-Morgan to the donor and relate to his political activities in London and to constituency affairs. The papers, 1960-2003, reflect Councillor Ray Davies's life and the political campaigns and activities in which he was involved. Many are cuttings from local and national newspapers and other printed items. Some of the material reflects his campaigns in various elections, others the movements which he supported and in which he participated. A large number relate to the campaign against the community charge in the 1980s and 1990s. A few stem from his personal and family life.

Three lots of Councillor Ray Davies'r papers were received, 2006-2008. These remain uncatalogued.

This file consists of drafts and extracts of various speeches, [1940x1990], on subjects such as racism, the policies of the Labour Party, the doctors of Myddfai and witches, literature and the left, her experiences of the places she visited abroad, what Wales means to different people, and her experiences in Northern Ireland.

The fonds comprises two accruals. The first consisting of papers, 1936-1987, including local affairs, 1973-82, Welsh affairs, 1972-83, domestic politics, 1978-82, legal matters, 1978-80, foreign affairs, 1978-81, Social Democratic Party, 1981-5, and Labour Party, 1986-7. The second accrual, described here, consisting of scrapbooks, 1970-1976, relating to Jeffrey and Margaret Thomas' work in the Abertillery constituency; scrapbooks relating to Jeffrey Thomas' general election campaigns in Barry and Abertillery, 1966-1979; and other political and personal papers.
