Papers relating to the Trust's collaboration with the Great Western Railway and its successor, British Railways (Western Region).

The series contains papers, 1946-1957, relating to the Trust's applications to the Central Land Board, which were required in advance of any land development under the Town and Country Planning Act (1947), together with a pamphlet, 1923, about the housing of Great Western railwaymen in London.

The series contains correspondence, records and publicity material, 1923-1976, relating to Great Western housing schemes, which continued under that name after 1948 under British Railways (Western Region).
