Written at Dolgellau. Describes the meeting at Harlech - 'I never spoke better. My fluency was unbroken ... excellent audience in numbers, intelligence & enthusiasm ... I finished up with a fiery war cry calling the Welsh tribes to do battle for their country. ... Many told me that if they had known in the County I would stand an election I would have been selected in a great number of places. I never delivered a more successful speech'. Has been described by W. R. Davies as 'a very able young lawyer from Criccieth'.
