Original envelope addressed to J.G. Williams containing a letter by Boys and Tweedie, solicitors, 1857, sending copies of legal papers and other documents relating to lead mining on the Gogerddan estate. These include the bill of complaint to the High Court of Chancery by Edward Pryse of Gogerddan against Lewis Lewis of the parish of Llanbadarn Fawr, defendant, for trespass and mining on the common of Brynmawr in the manor of Genau’r-glyn, adjoining the defendant’s property of Llanerchyclwyde (boundaries described) with a map attached [1693x1697]; a bill of loading of Cwmsymlog ore onto the ship, Royal Fancy, 1755; proposals for mining leases to Robert Morris and Thomas Morris, and copies of papers in a lawsuit between John Pughe Pryse, plaintiff, and John Lloyd and Maria Charlotta, his wife, [c 1753] -1754.
