They were accumulated by Roy Green as Treasurer of the Celtic League and as both Secretary and Treasurer of the Cornwall Branch (through which he acquired the papers of his successor as Treasurer, Peter Wills), and also in his capacity as a member of numerous Cornish cultural and political organisations and as a founding member and District Secretary of the Cornish branch of the Communist Party of Great Britain.
