[Older soldier with lady friend / wife]

Studio portrait of a soldier, probably in early middle age, with a lady friend or possibly wife. Both are standing beside a palisade. The soldier has one medal ribbon on his left breast. His cap badge cannot be properly seen but may be that of the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry.

D C Harries, Rhosmaen Street, Llandilo.

[Private, Pembroke Yeomanry]

Full-length studio portrait of a very young private in the Pembroke Yeomanry wearing leather gaiters and economy tunic. Introduced in 1915 the economy tunic lacked the pleat in the centre of the breast pockets.

D C Harries, Rhosmaen Street, Llandilo.

[Private, Welsh Regiment]

Full-length studio portrait of a private in the Welsh Regiment. As this soldier's uniform has no embellishments and the standard service tunic with pleat in the breast pockets the implication is that this portrait dates from the years immediately preceding, or shortly after, the outbreak of WW1.

D C Harries, Rhosmaen Street, Llandilo.

[Private, Welsh Regiment]

Three quarter-length studio portrait of a private in the Welsh Regiment. As this soldier's uniform has no embellishments and the economic service tunic without pleat in the breast pockets the implication is that this portrait dates from the middle or later years of the conflict.

D C Harries, Rhosmaen Street, Llandilo.
