It is now many months since he sent her his resignation of the editorship of the remaining part of the volume, but he expressed a desire to write the Preface, a wish of which those members of the Committee to whom she mentioned it highly approved. The public are now again becoming impatient and the only information she can gain from Llandovery is that he [Mr Rees] has no copy to go on with.

It strikes her 'the best way to turn to account these good dispositions in three several parties [the addressee and Mr Williams of Aberpergwm, M. Rio, the Breton, and Mr Parry of Chester] to promote the honour of Wales - would be to unite all our forces'.

She has a few facts collected here which will corroborate his view of the Saint being the cause of the appellation.

She cannot help thinking that a note with reference to the mention of Gofor would be a valuable addition, and also that it might be the indirect means of having this piece written Llanovor or Llanofor, which she much wishes. She has restored as far as possible the Ffynonau to their original state. An invitation.

A. Hall, Llanover, to [Taliesin Williams]. Acknowledging his letter with the parcel of MSS. The translation of his volume is finished, from the place he left off, as follows. She believes she has told him before that the Committee would be very happy to have a Preface from him. Inside the flap of the envelope is a note that if he alludes to the Penderel Llewelyns they have nothing whatever to do with the work though there was once such an idea.

She now encloses another which she hopes will arrive safely and will be very happy to see Ab Iolo on Thursday as he proposes.

Hoping that he will be able to visit Llanover on Tuesday or Wednesday, preferably Wednesday, and that he will allow the enclosed to defray the expense of the journey. Her brother-in-law, the Chevalier Bunsen, is going to leave the country on Friday 4th, and she very much wishes him to converse with the addressee (about the Welsh language).

If he should have no objection to letting Miss Jane Wms have all the words to the Air which has this burden, 'Er bod y drain yn pigo Canu a wnaf a gadael iddo', asking him to send them to her. Miss Wms learned it from his father, but only remembered this burden. Desiring him not to mention her name - she is like a target shot at by everybody about all things. Rees tells her 'how glad he is Taliesin has at last ferretted out that foul Vermin B. C. D.' (author of a letter in the Cambrian).

A typescript copy, [20 cent., third ¼], of a letter, [Summer 1930], from Augustus John, Renvyle, County Galway, to Will [?Rothenstein], in which John explains his presence in Ireland to paint W. B. Yeats' portrait.
The typescript has the date supplied in the hand of [?Michael Holroyd] and resembles typescripts of other letters to Rothenstein to be found in NLW, Michael Holroyd (Augustus John) Research Papers 4/6.
