An Epitaph by Edward Williams beginning, 'When from this world the virtuous go'. Written on the back of a formal bill from Thomas Hird, Clerk of the Bristol and South Wales Roads, General Post Office, London, to Mr J. Williams for newspapers for the quarter 5 Jan. - 5 April 1813, payable to Mr Llewellyn Junr. for Thomas Hird.

A quatrain by E. Williams 'to the Muse', beginning 'There with an eagles raptured eye' ('There, in celestial realms on high').

'Unprinted fragments of the original copy of the epitaph on an old fashioned fellow'. On the reverse side are some lines of Welsh verse. 'Pwy ai cant'.

'The voice of the Beloved, or the Mutual love of Christ and his Church. A Moravian Hymn (see Fetter Lane Colln) ...', beginning, 'No earthly sounds are those I hear ... with a 'Tune to the above'.

'The Beggar's Song, Translated from the Welsh By Edward Williams 1824 (1823) aetatis suae 79', beginning, 'I am a beggar old and poor ...'.

Verses described as 'Tribanau Seisnig'. The first part is wanting, and the first line we have here is '[ ] and Lasses sporting ...'. On the reverse side are a number of charges against an unnamed person - 'extorting half a Crown, Refusing to open the door at six o'Clock to go for the doctor ...', etc.

'Spleen from the ancient British' beginning, 'Since in this world my lot was cast ...'. Endorsed: 'Spleen from the Welsh'. ?Incomplete.

Notes based on Virgil's Georgics I (probably in Dryden's translation). On the reverse side in pencil (crossed out) are lines beginning 'Gwnaethum (?) im serch oed a Gwenferch ...'. Damaged.

An account (crossed out) beginning 'Pedair Cadair wrth Gerdd y sydd ynghymru ...'. On the reverse side is a note beginning 'Lleu, lle, or llên, is the same as Gawl, gwawl, and goleu ...', followed by 'I have before observed that the Britons became civilized in those ages when the Roman learning was in its highest perfection and greatest purity ...'. There are also some stanzas of verse (D. ddu Eryri and Cynddelw) and at the bottom of the page a note headed '(Preface)' beginning, 'However I may have been mistaken in some, perhaps in many things, I can assure the reader ... that ...'.

An early reference to the possibility of a National Library in Wales: 'National Library, when founded in Wales will give my MSS to it, with an injunction that permission be given in the library to copy any thing, but not out of it.' (Written on the back of a lottery notice).

A list by E. W. of personal possessions at various places (eg 'Flimston nothing that I can recollect but a bed and a few Tools & 1 Tea cup'). On the reverse side are observations beginning. 'Fe ddarfu i'r Farddoniaeth Gymraeg ... gadw ei thir yn wych rhyfedd hyd ynghylch amser y Brenin Siarlas yr ail ...'.
