Personalia of J. T. Jones, including his preaching licence, 1822, a copy of his 'call' to the pastorate of the Independent church, Caernarvon, 1828, a copy of his certificate of ordination at Caernarvon, 1828, memoranda of agreements to print a book written by T. W. Jenkyn, Oswestry, and the journal called Ifor Hael, letters and papers relating to printing and editing of the South Wales Reporter and Y Gwron Cymreig, poetry, an adjudication by Theophilus Lines Jones, etc.

Most of the letters, 1892-1916, are devoted to the writer's researches, writings and editing of Wales, Y Llenor, Heddyw and Cymru for which he solicits contributions from the pen of J. H. Davies. Several letters refer to the death of Thomas Edward Ellis in April 1899, the preparation of his biography and the erection of a memorial statue at Bala. Others relate to J. H. Davies's application for the position of Registrar of the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, and some to Edwards's duties as Chief Inspector of Schools in Wales.

A notebook in the hand of J. H. Davies containing lists of works by William Williams, Pantycelyn, Rees Prichard, John Bunyan (translations into Welsh), Thomas Edwards ('o'r Nant') and Thomas Jones, Denbigh, and of Welsh periodicals and almanacs [in the Cwrtmawr library]. The volume was originally used to record, in another hand, a 'Catalogue of Pamphlets', 1789-1891 and undated [also in the Cwrtmawr library].
