A holograph essay on 'Y Mabinogion fel Llenyddiaeth' by 'Y Macwy Mud' [E. Stanton Roberts]. The essay was submitted in January 1911 for the T. E. Ellis Essay Prize at University College of Wales, Aberystwyth.

The Laws of Hywel Dda, [c. 1380], (p. 1); religious and secular prose by a number of scribes, including a brief chronicle from the arrival of Brutus in 1230 BC to 1375 (of Welsh interest) and the number of years from the flood until the current year, 1404, (p. 225); Brutus Saxonum (p. 251); and englynion (p. 270), [pre 1416, mid-15 cent.].
The date of the foundation of Cardiff is noted in the Latin text. There are some later memoranda as well.

Y Llyfr Hir o'r Mwythig,

'Y Llyfr hir or Mwythig', being a collection of five hundred and sixty-six cywyddau, etc. by various authors arranged into 'books' according to subject. The poems in each 'book' are numbered separately. The poets cited include Iolo Goch, Dafydd ap Gwilym, Siôn Cent, Iorwerth Fynglwyd, Bedo Brwynllys and Siôn Phylip. The volume is dated temp. James II (see p. 382). The text is followed by nine folios of index, arranged under authors' names, by Richard Morris. Following the index are three further poems (by Dafydd ap Gwilym, Siôn Cent and Dafydd ab Edmwnt) in the hand of the Reverend Samuel Williams.
The volume is in the same hand as Llanstephan MSS 47, 48 and the end of 164.

Y Llyfr Gwyrdd

A volume containing autograph poetry by Rhys Jones of Tyddyn Mawr and Y Blaenau, Llanfachreth (pp. 1-215), and the Historia of Taliessin (pp. 216-242). Written on page ix: 'Y Llyfr Gwyrdd pa un sy'n cynnwys Awdleu, Cywyddau, Englynion a Cherddi; Yn anrheg i'r godidawg a'r dilediaith Gymro Gwilym Fychan o gors y Gedol a Nannau Ysgr. Seneddwr a Chornor y Militia swydd Feirion; a Phenn Llywydd Cymdeithas y Cymmrodorion yn Llundain. Y Llyfr Gwyn o Hergest

Transcripts of parts of the White Book of Hergest in the hand of Evan Evans (Ieuan Fardd), containing a list of the hundreds and commotes of Wales (ff. 1-5); the Paternoster (ff. 14 verso-20), the Credo (ff. 21-24); Emyn Curic Sant (ff. 25-26); an explanation of the Trinity (ff. 27-28) and of the beginning of the fourth gospel (ff. 29 verso-32); Elucidarium (ff. 33-144); and a summary chiefly of Biblical history (ff. 145-200 verso).

'Y llyfr grôt' gan T. H. Evans (Tomos ab Titus),

A book written by T. H. Evans, which describes his experiences when he was a mining engineer in the Yukon district, Alaska. He describes a great deal of the natural life there, a certain amount of the life and habits of the miners and pioneers, and a certain amount of the history of the 'Gold Rush'. Dated 'California, 1914'. Written in Welsh, full of English idioms. Vol. 1, 112 ff; vol. 2, 83 ff.

Y Llyfr Glas,

A copy of the 'Y Llyfr Glas' publication, which was an 'oral history' regarding Brith Gof's work, documenting a conversation between Mike Pearson and Clifford McLucas. The file also contains a covering letter to accompany the book, a flyer for Tri Bywyd, marketing information for D.O.A. and scenographic designs and photographs of Gododdin.
