Miscellaneous notes broadly relating to Welsh and Glamorgan history, Welsh literature and related subjects. They comprise: bundles of loose papers (T3/1-2) and notebooks (T3/3-14) containing notes and memoranda on a variety of historical subjects, including Bonedd y Saint; notebooks and loose notes on Welsh poetry and poets (T3/15-18); miscellaneous notes on sayings, idioms, etc. (T3/19); a few recipes for ink and toothache (T3/20); miscellaneous fragments, together with three maps drawn on tissue paper (T3/21); a bundle of annotated wrappers used by Taliesin to sort some of his and his father's papers (T3/22 – see also T13/7); six booklets, 1838-1839, containing extracts from manuscripts relating to Wales at the British Museum and Bodleian Library (T3/23); a bundle of foolscap sheets containing mostly genealogical texts relating to Welsh saints and legendary figures (T3/24); and a transcript of a lecture on Oriental languages 'Delivered by Professor [Duncan] Forbes at K[ing's] C[ollege] London', November 1837 (T3/25).

Miscellaneous papers of Edward Williams ('Iolo Morganwg') bound together in one volume. Interspersed among the items already noted are miscellaneous notes relating to Welsh literary, bardic, and antiquarian matters, lists of Welsh words, brief lists of miscellaneous Welsh triads, stanzas of English and Welsh verse, etc. Some of the notes are written on the blank verso, the margins, and even across the face of copies of a printed handbill issued by Henry Walters, March 1784, advertising his printing office in the town of Cowbridge, printed proposals, 1762, for the publication by the Cymmrodorion Society of a 'Natural History of the Quadrupeds and Birds of Great Britain and Ireland', a printed handbill (undated) setting forth the programme, etc. of a 'Society for the preservation of the remains of ancient British Literature . . . and for the encouragement of the National Music', etc.

Notebooks used by John Montgomery Traherne to record notes and 'collectanea' mainly relating to the history and topography of Glamorgan, Glamorgan families and pedigrees, and miscellanea. NLW MS 6534A contains notes relating to the Scudamore family.

A notebook purchased at the sale of the library of Theophilus Jones , historian of Brecknockshire, being a miscellany containing, among other things, 'Catalogus libror. meor. An[n]o 1643 ...', extracts from works on religion, a copy of 'The man[n]er of the winning of Glamorgan out of the Welsh mens hands by Sr Robert fitz Hamon and his followers ...', pedigrees mainly of Glamorgan families, 'An alphabet of some coates of armes in Wales and the borders of the same', details of some Glamorgan fee-farm rents, etc.

Material collected by John Montgomery Traherne in connection with the preparation of his monograph on Sir Matthew Cradock. It includes pedigrees and notes, a transcript and English translation by Taliesin Williams ('Ab Iolo') of 'Dyma Ganu a wnaeth Rhys Brydydd i Syr Mathias Caradog am y Cwrdd Prydyddion a wnaeth efe yn y Merthyr Mawr', sketches, coats of arms, a letter, 1840, to Traherne from George Grant Francis, etc.

'Ychydig o Hanes Morganwg, allan o Lyfr Ysgrifen y diweddar Barchedig Edward Gamage, Offeiriad Sant Athan, yn awr ymherchenogaeth Mr. John Spencer, o'r un Plwyf', with other Glamorgan material, including 'Cambrian Pedigrees, Together with An Account of the Different Manors within the County of Glamorgan and the names of the Proprietors thereof', etc.
