Owen to Elwyn-Jones, 1982, enclosing a typescript list of Elwyn-Jones's speeches, April 1974-Dec. 1978, which he gave whilst he was Lord Chancellor; a list of file titles relating to invitations to Elwyn-Jones to make overseas visits and attend various functions, 1974-1979, and a list of some of Elwyn-Jones's engagements between May 1977 and May 1979.

Columbia University Doctor of Law degree

Papers relating to the loan of an original copy of Magna Carta to the US Congress to mark the bicentennial of the USA, June 1976, and relating to the conferring on Lord Elwyn-Jones of an honorary Doctor of Law degree by Columbia University, Aug. 1976.

Eightieth birthday

A bound photocopy of the Sunday Times and Sunday Special for 24 Oct. 1909 (Lord Elwyn-Jones's birth day). Enclosed loose, a card (18"x12") for Lord Elwyn-Jones's eightieth birthday, comprising the signatures of the Labour peers (96 names).
