A volume of twenty-three sermons, fourteen (ff. 1-94 verso) compiled during the 1660s by William Watkins (ordained priest 1665), vicar of Llanfihangel Crucornau, Monmouthshire, 1665 - c. 1672, the remainder, which includes a sermon in Welsh, belonging to the following century. Some of the sermons were preached, 1753-1756, at Llan-arth or Llanwenarth, Monmouthshire (ff. 101 verso, 148 verso) and the first sermon (ff. 3-9) at Llanddewi Rhydderch in 1781 by the vicar, William Charles.

A note-book possibly in the hand of the Reverend John Evans, Baptist minister, best known as John Evans, Abercannaid, Merthyr. The contents consist entirely of sermon notes, 1827-1829 and undated. Inset are loose items, including a note addressed by D. Rhys Stephen, from Abertawy, to the Reverend John Evans, [18]31 (accompanying a copy of a three-stanza hymn by John Morris, headed 'Hymn dduwiol a gyfansoddwyd i'r Parch. Mr. Davies, Alltwen'), and further sermon notes, [18]44 and [18]67, bearing the initials 'J.E.'., or the signature 'John Evans'.

A transcript in the hand of Roger Morris (fl. 1590), Coed y Talwrn, Llanfair Dyffryn Clwyd of the herbal generally attributed to William Salesbury (1520?-1600?), joint-translator of the New Testament and of the Book of Common Prayer into Welsh, 1567. This volume provides an earlier transcript than the 18th century copy in the hand of Evan Thomas (d. 1781), Cwmchwylfod, near Bala, which belonged later to John Peter (Ioan Pedr) (1833-1877) and which was edited by E. Stanton Roberts and published under the title of Llysieulyfr Meddyginiaethol a briodolir i William Salesbury ... (Liverpool, 1916).
