Griffith (1911-1975) comprising a volume relating to the 'Urdd Gobaith Cymru Fach' branch at Abercynon, 1924-1927; a typescript volume containing Yr Aelwyd, 1940-1941, a periodical produced by the Urdd and edited by him; 'Y Llwybrau Gynt', his autobiography broadcast on the radio, February 1971; and an undated volume in his hand giving an account of the establishment of the Urdd movement.

The file comprises legal papers, correspondence and associated documents concerning the estate of the late David John Jenkins of Porthcawl and a case relating to its distribution in The High Court of Justice, Chancery Division, and in particular a bequest to Urdd Gobaith Cymru which was conditional on the establishment of an Aelwyd, or Branch, of the Urdd in Porthcawl. The papers include photostat copies of the Will, October 1955, and the codicil to the Will, October 1958, of D. J. Jenkins.
