Private accounts of Thomas Morgan

Estate, household and personal accounts of Thomas Morgan, Prothonotary, of Rhiwbank, Berrriew, Montgomeryshire, comprising account books and bundles of loose bills and receipts, (Watermark 1810)- 1850. They record expenditure mainly for estate labour, servants’ wages, building work and furnishing at Rhiwbank, household provisions, ironmongery, personal expenses such as clothing and laundry, books, outings and entertainments, horticultural supplies, medicines for the household and animals, saddlery and harness, church and poor rates, charity payments to victims of various misfortunes, and subscriptions. The first file also includes items relating to James Morice of Wallog. Additional items of interest are noted in the file descriptions
