The series consists of personal letters to Condry, from Ray Perry and others, on subjects relating to wild plants, bird and animal life, identification of insects, birdwatching in Britain and abroad, ornithological records, fundraising efforts for a conservation project, publishing, appreciation of Condry's 'Country Diary' articles and his books, A Welsh Country Diary and Thoreau, life during the Second World War, personal news from friends, Condry's connnections with Birmingham and enclosures of occasional printed items. Correspondents include Ronald Lockley, Ray [Perry], Morrey Salmon, H[arold Wright], Irene (`Benjamin') Vaughan, R.S. Thomas and his wife Mildred Elsie Eldridge (Elsi). There is also a letter from Condry to his niece, Chris (Christine Demmar), enclosing a story about his pet jackdaw, 1971.
The group comprises correspondence, papers, press cuttings and releases, and circulars, 1996-2001, concerning the preparation and publication of the series of Gregynog Papers by the Institute of Welsh Affairs.

Correspondence between the Honourable Secretary of the Cymmrodorion and Col H. F. Chettle of the Imperial War Graves Commission. Col Chettle needed corrections and English translations of Welsh epitaphs that were to be inscribed upon the tombstones of Welsh soldiers who had died during the war

The series comprises mainly letters, [1925]-1982, from hunt secretaries, organisations and private individuals, frequently accompanied by copies of letters and circulars despatched by the Association, concerning membership and subscriptions, meetings, hound inspections, registrations, entries and orders for the stud book, the annual hound show administration, kennel management, hunting anecdotes, breed criteria and Association rules; together with relevant registration forms, pedigrees, inspection results, lists of hounds entered for the stud book, show schedules, accounts, bills and receipts.

The file comprises postcards, letters and relevant enclosures, mostly from Thoreau Society members in America, on all aspects of Thoreau's life and philosophy, some of the more notable themes being Thoreau's influence on British literature and politics, links with Henry Salt, the preparation and publication of Condry's book, closure of the Lyceum and the move to a new centre, celebration of the Thoreau centenary and wildlife, especially bluebirds and the involvement of Lillian Lund Files in their protection.

The group comprises letters written by members of the Griffith family of Garn, mainly the family of John Wynne Griffith, and close relatives, 1724, 1783-1876, with many details of family life, social activities, travel abroad, the children's school and university days, the progression of John Wynne Griffith's sons in their careers and assistance to their father in managing the estate, and acquaintance with other well-known families in north-east Wales, such as Clough, Kirkwall, Shipley, Jones of Llysmeirchion and Wynne of Plasnewydd, and letters from other correspondents addressed to various members of the Griffith family, 1733-1943, on many different subjects, the most frequently recurrent being estate business, particularly disputes over enclosures and encroachments, rights on crown lands, purchase of property and questions of title, legal and financial complications of the Plasnewydd estate trust, Denbigh borough and parliamentary elections, contemporary national and local events during the Napoleonic Wars, and public duties of individuals.

The group comprises mainly letters written to members of the families related by marriage to Griffith of Garn, such as Hughes of Gwydir, Llwyn Gronw, Cae'r berllan and Weeg, 1713-1823, Roberts of Bryn y neuadd, 1705-1757, and Wynne of Garthmeilio and Plasnewydd, 1793-1831, together with miscellaneous recipients, 1680-1882, mainly on Caernarfonshire and Denbighshire parliamentary elections, church matters, inheritance, debt and domestic affairs.

The file comprises letters regarding possible dangers posed by rock blasting to nesting birds at Craig yr Aderyn, Meirionydd, thanks for funds raised from sale of books, an invitation to become president of the Trust, with a carbon copy of Condry's refusal, 1982, subscriptions, a request for professional advice in advance of a road improvement scheme and staff changes; a bundle of correspondence, photocopied notes and maps in connection with the preservation and possible purchase of unimproved meadow land at Ty Glas, Brithdir, including letters from Peter Benoit, 1982-1983; and a bundle of correspondence, a botanical survey, photocopied maps and plant lists in connection with the designation of fields at Talsarnau as a site of special scientific interest, including carbon copies of two letters by Condry, 1985.
