The series comprises minute books of Elders' meetings, the Church committee and other committees of the church. -- There is a gap in the minutes in the Church committee volume for 1939-52, between March 1940 and May 1946. By the time the minutes resume, many Elders' meetings are being followed immediately by Church committee meetings, and the minutes are entered in the Church committee minute books. The Elders' meetings continue to maintain a separate minute book for separate meetings until 1948, after which there is a single series of combined minute books.
