A composite volume containing John Parry (Y Telynor Dall), Antient British Music ... (London, 1742), A Collection of Welsh, English & Scotch Airs ... (London [1752]), and British Harmony ... (London, 1781), and a manuscript of John Parry containing arias, minuets, overtures, concertos, Welsh airs, etc., partly with variations by John Parry himself and by Evan Williams [bookseller, London]. Copious manuscript annotations have been added by Nicholas Bennett. Also bound or pasted down in the volume are a note on provenance by E[van] D. J[ones], [19]07; a comment by Carl Engel on Antient British Music ...; an invoice from Bernard Quaritch, London, to N. Bennett, 1888, for Antient British Music ...; a portrait of John Parry; a list by Mary Davies, 1911, of 'Names of tunes written in a copy of Ancient British Music ... 1742 belonging to R. A book of hymn-tunes and psalm-tunes belonging to Morgan Price, boot- and shoe-maker, Llangamarch, 1821, containing a miscellaneous collection of tunes, notes of preachers and their texts at Gwarwydd, 27-8 August 1817, and English and Welsh versions of an African hymn.

A collection of hymn-tunes, anthems and miscellaneous songs compiled apparently in the Llanbrynmair district. The tunes are mostly anonymous but there are items ascribed to the Reverend J[ohn] D[avid] Edwards, John Ashton, Trefeglwys, W[illiam] Owen [Prysgol], J[oseph] D[avid] Jones, 1851, and D. P. Price, Cazenovia.

Two of the compositions are written to words by Samuel Roberts ('S. R.'), Llanbryn-mair, and one to words by (Lewis (or Llewelyn?) Edwards] 'Llewelyn Twrog'.

A volume of hymn-tunes and anthems, mostly unattributed, but including compositions by Richard Mills and others.

Hymn-tune book of John David Edwards. It contains a copy of his tune 'Lovely' now known as 'Rhosymedre'.
