An imperfect interleaved manuscript containing prayers, psalms and Scripture readings; 'Ystori Peilat'; 'Bychedd Saint Margred', 1642; poetry in strict metres by Sion Reithar, John Brwynog, Huw ap Dafid Lloyd, Ifan Brydydd Hir, Rhys Pennardd, Sypyn Kyfeiliog, ('yr hwn a gyfieithir dafydd bach am hadog wladaidd'), Sion Kain (1609) (holograph), Dogtor John Kemp, Robert Mredydd, Mathew Brwmffild, Rhobert ap D'd Llwyd, Dafid ap Gwilim, William Llyn, Syr Dafid Trefor, Ierwerth Fynglwyd, John Tvdyr, Huw ap Richard ap Dafid, Morys Dwyfech, Richard John Brwynog, Morgan ap Huw Lewis, John Ffylipp, Huw Machno, Gr[u]ffuth Grvg, Grvffvth ap Ieuan ap Llewelvn Fychan, Dafydd Ddv o hir addig, D'd ap Edmwnd, and Ri'd ap Hoell; 'Penillion', for the most part anonymous, but with occasional stanzas by Gwen Williams, William Phillip, Sr Huw Robert, [Rob]ert Lewis, etc.; prognostications of Erra Pater based on the incidence of New Year's Day, and weather prognostications based on the phases of the moon; 'Ymddiddan tydyr ag Ronw'; 'Y rhif euraid'; and a few accounts for clothes; etc. An incident during the Second Civil War, on 5 June 1648, is recorded on p. 85 ('y pvmed dydd or mihefin y bv yr maes Rhwng syr John owen a gwyr y parlmant yn llandygai ag yn Rhayth yr lafan ...'), and it is probable that the manuscript was compiled about the period 1642-8.

Salmau a hymnau,

A volume entitled 'Casgliad o Psalmau a Hymnau' in the hand of Evan Evans ('Ieuan Glan Geirionydd'; 1795-1855). The collection contains psalms numbered 1-150, with many omissions, and 443 hymns, of which 424 are numbered. The authors include Edmwnd Prys, Isaac Watts, John Hughes, Pontrobert, Richard Jones, Wern, Llanfrothen, William Williams, Pantycelyn, James Hughes, London, David Charles, Carmarthen, Edward Jones, Maes-y-plwm, David Thomas ('Dafydd Ddu Eryri'), Ann Griffiths, Thomas Charles, Bala, David Jones, Cynwyl Gaeo, Morgan Rhys, Llanfynydd, David Williams, Llandeilo-fach, Titus Lewis, Carmarthen, Evan Evans ('Ieuan Glan Geirionydd'), John Elias ('o Fôn'), John Roberts, Llangwm, Peter Jones ('Pedr Fardd'), William Edwards, Bala, John Thomas, Pentrefoelas, Morgan Llwyd ('o Wynedd'), John Williams, Pantycelyn, William Griffiths, Glandwr, William Jones, Bala, Roger Edwards, Mold, etc. There is at the beginning an incomplete subject index to the contents of the volume ('Dangoseg o'r Prif-faterion yn y Psalmau a'r Hymnau trwy y Llyfr') in the hand of the scribe. Many of the items are to be found in the collection published by the scribe under the title of Casgliad o Salmau a Hymnau ... (Caerlleon, 1829), but the manuscript bears a closer resemblance to other editions of 'Psalms and Hymns' of the first half of the nineteenth century, notably Morris Davies, Llanfyllin: Casgliad o Salmau a Hymnau ... (Bala, 1832).

Miscellaneous papers and fragments containing notes, transcripts, lists, copies of his own poems, etc., by Edward Williams ('Iolo Morganwg') bound together in one volume. The contents include holograph copies of Welsh poems by Edward Williams himself using the bardic names 'Iolo Morganwg', 'I[orwer] th G[wili]m', and 'Ior[wer]th Morganwg'; transcripts of Welsh strict- and free-metre poems (often incomplete) including single stanzas attributed to Huw Morus and Edward Morus (pp. 60, 65), a few stanzas attributed to Gronwy Owain (p. 78), and an 'englyn' attributed to Iorwerth Fynglwyd (p. 141), etc.; a short list of Welsh names of 'different sorts of grass or hay in Glam[organ]' (p. 32); a short list of 'Glum[organ] proverbs' (p. 42 ); draft copies or transcripts of the words of two English election songs written in connection with a parliamentary election in co. Tune book, compiled during the first half of the eighteenth century, containing psalm-tunes, hymn-tunes and anthems, with some accompanying words in English and Welsh. The psalm-tunes are 'White Church' (f. 3 verso), St Luke (f. 6), St Peter (7), St Michael (f. 8), St Phillip (f. 9), New Radnor (f. 10), Old Radnor (f. 11), Weobley (f. 12), All Saints (f. 19), Bath (f. 19 verso), Norwich (f. 20 recto-verso), Ewell (f. 21), St Albans (f. 22), Monmouth (f. 22 verso), Oxford (f. 23), Northampton (f. 23 verso), Southampton (f. 24), Bangor (f. 27 verso), Whitchurch (f. 30), and Ludlow (f. 33 verso). A Welsh hymn is written on a manuscript leaf pasted inside the back cover.
