Miscellaneous notes and sketches ? by the Reverend Elias Owen [for whom see the two preceding manuscripts], including sermon notes; notes on some archaic words, phrases, etc., of Montgomeryshire; a brief note on the rood loft in Derwen parish church [co. Denbigh]; notes on ‘Ffynnon Vair’, and the ruined chapel of that name in the parish of St. Asaph [co. Flint], being largely extracts from Archaeologia Cambrensis, 1st series, vol. 11, pp. 261-7; pencil sketches of the interior and exterior of Gweddelwern parish church [co. Merioneth]; and copies of memorial inscriptions, etc., in the last named church. Also a holograph letter from [the Reverend] Elias Owen, from Efenechtyd Rectory, to Mr. Pennington, 1887 (the finding of recipient’s certificate, a request for his reports for 1885-7); notes on Christ College, Brecon; a list of Wynn portraits at Nerquis Hall [? co. Flint]; and a note headed ‘Rev. Elias Owen in account with R. Williams - Selections from the Hengwrt MSS’; these last three items not being in the hand of Elias Owen.

A manuscript of John Roberts ('Ieuan Gwyllt') used originally as a register of the pupils who enrolled in his school at Nanteos Arms [Capel Seion, near Aberystwyth] from its foundation on 12 June to 1 July 1839. The volume was subsequently used, [c. 1839-1840], to record hymn-tunes, hymns, metrical psalms, etc., by 'Ieuan Gwyllt', and notes of sermons by John Hughes, Pontrobert, [Thomas] Richards, Fishguard, David Howels, Thos. Evans, O. Williams, and H. Hughes, Llanrwst.
