Welsh poetry relating for the most part to the families of Nannau and Cors y Gedol, together with a history of the Gwydir family, etc. Pages 1-184 and 197-213 were transcribed, [c. 1690], by 'John Davies, commonly called John David Laes, a family poet at Nannau' (pp. iii, 497); pp. 217-232 and 289-295 are in the autograph of the Rev. William Wynn (p. 295); and pp. i-vii, 497-498 are in the hand of Lewis Morris of Anglesey. The remainder of the manuscript seems to belong to the first quarter of the eighteenth century.

Baledi a cherddi ardal Beddgelert,

The original manuscript of 'Casgliad o Hen Faledi a Cherddi ... Beddgelert' which won the prize for Carneddog at the national eisteddfod held at Pwllheli, 1925. The collection consists of three hundred and four poems by various writers living in Wales, the United States of America, and Australia, most of whom were in some way or other connected with Beddgelert and neighbourhood. There is a list of the writers, who range in date from the eighteenth to the twentieth century.

'Llyfr Kowyddav y Masdr Huws or Deirnion',

A fragment of a volume described as 'Llyfr Kowyddav y Masdr [Hwmffre] Huws or deirnion siryf veirionydd ...', containing autograph 'cywyddau', some of them eulogising him, by Thomas Penllyn, Rhisiart Phylip, Tuder Owen, Sion Cain, and Huw Machno (some of them being dated 1619), together with other 'cywyddau' by Sion Cent, etc.

Llyfr Richart Roberts,

A miscellany containing a metrical dissertation on Psalm 8, verses 3 and 4, followed by a poem dealing with the seven planets; 'Darlleniad diwiol'; 'Carol i Fair', beginning 'Yngwledydd Judea yr oedd Zackaria'; a part of a carol by Mathe[w] Owen; a 'cywydd', a 'dyri', and a carol by Huw Morus; a 'dyri' by Edwart Rolant ('o'r bala'); 'Erapater dros byth a gaed o lyfr Thomas Jones ... 1701'; farm notes for 1702; etc. -- Much of the volume is in the hand of Richard Roberts, whose name, with the date 'Mai 21, 1699', appears on one folio. At the end of the manuscript is the note: - 'Llyfr y coch o Hergist yn y glasgoed y mae ef'.

Iolo Morganwg MSS

Manuscripts, [16 cent.]-[?1841], mostly collected or written by Iolo Morganwg. They include transcripts of Welsh poetry, pedigrees, grammars, and manuscripts belonging to Robert Vaughan of Hengwrt, Lewis Morris, Gwallter Mechain, Ieuan Brydydd Hir, Thomas Glyn Cothi, Richard Morris and others; literary papers of Iolo Morganwg, including hymns and psalm-tunes, English and Welsh poetry and Bardic papers; other papers including diaries, memorandum books and notebooks; and accounts of his father, Edward Williams, senior.

A commonplace book belonging to Rowland Eames, Penrhyndeudraeth, 1776-1781, and containing notes on arithmetic, accounts, recipes, 'cerddi' and 'carolau', hymns, precedents of legal documents, music, night-school memoranda, a highway account for Llanfrothen, 1790, etc.

Llyfr Gwyn Corsygedol

A collection of cywyddau, awdlau and carols partly in the hand of William Bodwrda. Poems by Wiliam Cynwal are especially well represented in this manuscript (pp. 91-185), which is written in three different but contemporary hands. Pages 193-280 are of an earlier date than the remainder of the manuscript.

Cofnodion amaethyddol,

A notebook kept, [c. 1852]-1868, by a farmer in the Dolgellau district, containing memoranda and accounts relating to farming, details of the acreage and valuation of various farms in the neighbourhood, culinary recipes, poetry by Morris Davies (Meurig Ebrill), Evan Jones, maltster, Dolgellau, and Sincin Morgan, etc.
