Mae'r cerddi yn cynnwys fersiwn ddrafft a chynllun o'r bryddest 'Dr William Morgan' (ff. 2-15) a fu'n fuddugol yn Eisteddfod Betws y Coed, Nadolig 1859, a 'Gogangerdd i Ddirmygwyr Cyfarfodydd Llenyddol', 1868 (ff. 17, 19), y ddwy wedi eu cyhoeddi yn Y Murmuron (Llanrwst, 1868), ynghyd â nifer o englynion a phenillion eraill (f. 17 verso-18 verso, 19 recto-verso, 21 verso). Mae yna hefyd nodiadau amrywiol ar William Morgan, Robert Ferrar a'r Diwygiad Protestannaidd (ff. 19 verso-21). Mae yna ychydig gyfrifon amrywiol, 1819, mewn llaw arall (f. 1 a thu mewn i'r cloriau). = The poems include a draft version and a plan of a pryddest to Dr William Morgan (ff. 2-15) which won a prize at Betws y Coed Eisteddfod, Christmas 1859, and a satire, 'Gogangerdd i Ddirmygwyr Cyfarfodydd Llenyddol', 1868 (ff. 17, 19), both published in Y Murmuron (Llanrwst, 1868), along with englynion and other verses (some illegible) (f. 17 verso-18 verso, 19 recto-verso, 21 verso). There are also miscellaneous notes on William Morgan, Robert Ferrar and the Protestant Reformation (ff. 19 verso-21). A few miscellaneous accounts, 1819, are in a different hand (f. 1 and inside the covers).

Gwaith 'Ieuan Glan Geirionydd'

A collection by W. J. Roberts of the poetical works of Evan Evans (Ieuan Glan Geirionydd) entitled 'Gemau Glan Geirionydd' (changed to 'Y Geirionydd'; c.f. the printed edition Geirionydd as edited by W. J. Roberts). A table of the poems gives the date of composition of the principal items. The book was later used by W. J. Roberts to record his own compositions: an ode, with translation, being an address of welcome to Earl Carrington and family to Gwydir, 1896; 'Hir a Thoddeidiau' - 'Talhaiarn', 'marwolaeth Eben Fardd', 'Llywyddion Eisteddfod Caernarfon', 1862, 'Y Cae Gwenith', 'Ŷf-golofn Conway Rowley'; 'caneuon' - 'Pont Dolgarrog', 'Caneuon Serch', 'Days Gone by', 'Verses dedicated to --- Miss', 'Gwywiad fy Rhosyn', and 'One Pound and one shilling'; and 'englynion' - 'I'r Mochyn', 'I David Williams ('Alaw Goch')', 'Rhyl fel Ymdrochle', and 'I Weinidog yr Efengyl'.

Llyfr barddoniaeth 'Gwilym Cowlyd',

A 'poetical' exercise book of W. J. Roberts ('Gwilym Cowlyd') largely containing annotated transcripts of 'englynion' and other verses of the period 1820-1830 by Evan Evans ('Ieuan Glan Geirionydd'), William Jones ('Gwilym Cawrdaf'), Rowland Parry ('Ieuan Carn Dochan'), [William Williams] ('Gwilym Cyfeiliog'), Henry Griffith ('Hare Goch o Wynedd'), and Walter Davies ('Gwallter Mechain'). The collection is based on information received from Mary Richards ('Mair Risiart'), Darowen Vicarage, and contains copious extracts from 'Y Begeryn', being a manuscript in her possession containing impromptu verses by visiting poets, etc. The volume also contains transcripts of two letters, the one from J[ohn] Parry ['Bardd Alaw'] to the Reverend T[homas] Richards, Aberrhiw, 1822 (the success of Evan Evans ['Ieuan Glan Geirionydd'] as candidate for North Wales for a medal), and the other from Evan Evans ['Ieuan Glan Geirionydd'] to the Reverend T[homas] Richards, Caerwys [1816] (the recipient's promotion to the living of Caerwys, etc.); a list of books bought of the administrator of W[illiam] L[ewis] Walker [rector of Trefriw], 1863; and poetry by 'Gwilym Cowlyd' partly described as 'Y Ffetan Ysmaldod'.
