Wynn family notes

Notes in the hand of Chancellor Wynne, comprising notes on Anglesey and on Welsh genealogies (pp. 1-8); a genealogical table of the pedigree of Edward Wynn of Bodewryd (pp. 9-15); abstracts of deeds relating to Bodewryd and Tyndryvol, and copies of papers relating to lawsuits (pp. 17-90); some memoirs relating to Chwaen wen and Bodowir (pp. 91-98); and biographical notes of some members of the Bodewryd family (pp. 99, 107-110).
Also included is a copy, in the hand of Hugh Hughes, of a cywydd, 'Marwnad Dd. ap Rhees ap Lle'n ap Gr. Tad Hugh Gwynn Bodewryd a Phirse Llwyd Gwredog' by Sion B[rwynog] (pp. 15-16).

Hereford extracts

Extracts out of the Register Books of the Bishops of Hereford, made by Chancellor Wynne and Hugh Hughes, [mid 18 cent.], including an index of the contents of a supplemental register containing some occurrences in the time of Dr Humphrey Humphreys (pp. 1-8); accounts extracted out of Bishop Humphreys' Register, relating to some schools in the diocese of Hereford, namely Leominster, Ledbury, Chirbury, Presteign, Lushton (pp. 14-46); an account of the Register Books then extant (pp. 47-49); etc.
Items formerly loose within the volume have been either tipped in on blank leaves or bound in at the end of the volume (pp. 63, 114, 116-117, 122-128), including an account, December 1678, of an examination by the Bishop of Hereford and others on behalf of the House of Lords, of a house called Combe in Lanruthall, Herefordshire, which was believed to be a Jesuit College (pp. 125-128).

Bodewryd ledger

Accounts of expenditure on the Bodewryd estate with full particulars of payments made for skilled and unskilled labour, 1745-1754 (ff. 6 verso-93 verso); miscellaneous memoranda by Dr Edward Wynne with remarks and maxims on agricultural economy; quotations from manuals of husbandry and miscellaneous notes. The volume is almost entirely in the autograph of Dr Wynne, with some entries by his steward, Hugh Hughes.
A few loose bills and other items, 1750-1753, have been tipped in on, mostly new, leaves (ff. 95-103).

A System of Oeconomy

Extracts from books on husbandry and remarks made by Dr Wynne, on such subjects as the agistment of cattle, tillage, seeds - turnip and corn, agricultural book-keeping, weights and measures, etc. The volume is in the autograph of Dr Edward Wynne and Hugh Hughes.
