[Company of Welsh Regiment or Pembroke Yeomanry]

A company of soldiers from either the Welsh Regiment or the Pembroke Yeomanry photographed outdoors, a tent visible in the background. This, along with the profusion of Territorial Proficiency stars visible, suggests that this photo dates from one of the Territorial Force summer camps pre-WW1.

D C Harries, Rhosmaen Street, Llandilo.

[Copy of heavily retouched photograph]

Enlargement of a portion of a group portrait of military personnel which has been heavily retouched. The retouching has removed the heads of two soldiers to give greater emphasis to the soldier who is the subject of the photo.

[Copy photo - soldier in the Welsh Regiment]

A copy photo of a studio portrait of a soldier in the Welsh Regiment holding a swagger stick horizontally behind his back. The nature of the backdrop and aggressive stance of the sitter are not in the style of D C Harries suggesting that the original photograph was not made by him.

[Corporal & Private]

Studio portrait - a corporal with an instructors badge and a private with two wound stripes. The private wears a brass shoulder title on which appears to commence with the letters 'HE', possibly Herefordshire Regiment.

Corporal E.L. Carman, 35475148

Studio portrait of an American serviceman, negative inscribed as per title. His circular collar badge with crossed pistols indicates that he is in an infantry unit, whilst his shoulder sleeve patch identifies him as being in the U.S. 28th Division.
