[Sergeant, South Wales Borderers]

Three-quarter length portrait of a sergeant in the South Wales Borderers wearing a greatcoat and holding a stick. Image appears grainy and lacks contrast suggesting this may be a copy of a pre-existing photograph.

[Sergeant Physical Training Instructor in Welsh Regiment and a marksman in a Fusilier Regiment]

Full-length studio portrait of two soldiers. One is a Sergeant Physical Training Instructor in the Welsh Regiment, denoted by the crossed swords above his sergeant's stripes, the second is a private in the Royal Welsh Fusiliers wearing a marksman skill at arms badge on his sleeve.

Sergeant O'Kane

Head and shoulders portrait of a sergeant, with what appears to be a division patch above his sergeants stripes. The motif on the division patch appears to be a crown.

[Sergeant in the Pembroke Yeomanry with three Territorial Force Proficiency Stars]

A Sergeant in the Pembroke Yeomanry photographed outside the entrance to a bell tent. On his right sleeve he wears three Territorial Force proficiency stars and a marksman skill at arms badge. The three proficiency stars imply twelve years service in the TF. Along with chainmail shoulder boards he also wears a medal on his chest, but the photograph is taken at such an angle as to prevent identification.

[Sergeant & Two Privates]

[Studio portrait of a sergeant and two privates. The sergeant has his victory medal ribbons on his left breast and two overseas service stripes. The presence of the medal ribbons indicates the portrait post-dates the end of hostilities.]

[Sergeant - either Ede or Cole]

Studio portrait of a smiling sergeant. The negative is inscribed in the bottom left hand corner either 'Ede' or 'Cole' (the handwriting is slightly idiosyncratic). As well as his sergeants stripes his right shoulder has an embroidered 'M' below what maybe a Royal Marines insignia.
