The file is composed of press cuttings and papers concerning the career of Aneurin Bevan, together with the typescript draft of an article or part of a volume, presumably the work of John White. There is a copy of Bevan's birth certificate and two letters, 1951, from Dr Thomas Jones CH to John White.

Letter, 28 August 1936, from Dr Thomas Jones CH, at St Gallen, Switzerland, to Con[stance de] Madariaga, Geneva, regarding the situation of her husband, the Spanish writer and diplomat Salvador de Madariaga.
Jones offers to help Maderiaga who had fled Spain for England the previous month due to the Spanish Civil War. He also refers to his forthcoming trip with Lloyd George to Germany and Berchtesgaden.

Includes a letter, December 1921, from David Davies to Thomas Jones following the formulation of the Anglo-Irish agreement and a reply from Jones to Davies.

L. Ellis, 1974-1992.

The letters, 1910-1919, discuss the establishment and organisation of the Welsh National Memorial Association, set up in 1911, the National Health Insurance Commission Wales, the preparation and publication of The Welsh Outlook, the WEA, the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth (where a number of developments and appointments are discussed in some detail), the University of Wales, and the financial support of the Davies family of Llandinam for many initiatives in Wales.

Platonoff on the general situation in Russia; a memoranda, 1917, relating to British official activities in Archangel; a letter, 8 April 1917, from Ronald M. Burrows to Thomas Jones, suggesting that the Russians are likely to capitulate.
