Genealogical notes, etc. in the autograph of John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd'), including notes on various Caernarvonshire families (e.g. Llandegwning [Williams], Saython, Nanhoron, Penardd, Wern-fawr, &c.), accounts of Gruffydd ab Cynan and Bleddyn ab Cynfyn and their descendants, a copy of a petition, undated, relating to Pwllheli Free School, and particulars of tombs at Edeyrn, Bodvean monuments, etc. The first page is headed 'From Kersley's Heraldry', otherwise the source is not given.

Enwogion Sir Gaernarfon ...,

A volume (511 pp.) containing 'Enwogion Sir Gaernarfon ... gan Ymchwiliwr' ['sef John Jones (Myrddin Fardd)' added in another hand], a prize-winning entry at the Caernarfon National Eisteddfod, 1877; it is fuller than the published work bearing the same title. Inserts include a letter, 29 January 1806, from D[avid] T[homas] ('Dafydd Ddu Eryri'), Waunfawr to ?[David Owen ('Dewi Wyn o Eifion')] (the illness and death of the writer's brother, Humphrey [Thomas]), a letter, 1905, from [the Reverend] E[van] Evans, Llansadwrn Rectory, Menai Bridge to ['Myrddin Fardd'] (names of subscribers to Cynfeirdd Lleyn), a copy by 'Glynn' of the inscription on the (?) tombstone of the Reverend J. H. Hughes ('Ieuan o Leyn'), a letter, year not given, from [the Reverend] D. Roberts, Llanelidan Rectory, Ruthin to John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd') (replying to a query concerning his father, the late Reverend William Roberts, rector of Llanddeiniolen), and a number of press cuttings, etc. There are also some sheets (161-173 and 329) from a later manuscript version of 'Enwogion Sir Gaernarfon' and a transcript by [W. H. Roberts ('Iseifion')] of a note by 'Myrddin Fardd' on David Williams, MP, JP, DL ('Dewi Heli') (see Cwrtmawr MS 932D).

Enwogion Llŷn ac Eifionydd,

A manuscript by John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd') containing an introductory chapter ('Rhagymadrodd Enwogion') on the worthies of Llŷn and Eifionydd (subsequently amended in turn to Eifionydd and to Caernarvonshire), together with additional notes and press cuttings on the subject. One of the labels on the outer upper cover is numbered '13' and another is inscribed 'Eben Fardd .... ac Enwogion amryw'.

Enwogion Llŷn,

A volume which belonged to John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd') containing notices of Llŷn interest similar to, but not identical with, those contained in Enwogion Sir Gaernarfon. Many of the pages are missing and some of the notices are therefore incomplete. The hand, apart from 'Rhagdraith Enwogion' at the beginning and one or two inserts, is not that of 'Myrddin Fardd'. One of the longer notices relates to Thomas Williams ('Twm Pedrog'), who is not included in Enwogion Sir Gaernarfon. A number of press cuttings unrelated in content have been pasted on to some of the blank pages and loose inside is a letter, 1918, from D. R. D[aniel], Fourcrosses to 'Myrddin [Fardd'], with a transcript of a song entitled 'Llwynogod y Rhiw' (Caer Cyffin: argraffedig gan R. Jones, tros R. Jones). Letter 'R' on the spine.

Enwogion Llŷn ac Eifionydd,

Three notebooks in the hand of John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd') containing material on the worthies of Llŷn and Eifionydd, together with additional press cuttings of more general reminiscences and biographies of Welsh and Welsh American worthies. There are labels on the outer upper covers lettered respectively 'G', 'R', and 'W'.

Enwau lleoedd,

A notebook in the autograph of John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd') containing names of farms, houses, fields, etc. in Llŷn and Eifionydd, arranged under parishes, with some explanatory notes. Some press cuttings have been pasted in at the end of the volume, viz. 'Enwau Lleoedd yn Nantgwynant' ('Ystyron Enwau yn Nantgwynant') by 'Pwy', 'Llythyr o sir Gaernarfon 'by 'Senica' [sic], 'Llanddeiniolen' by 'Darius' or H. Hughes, Llanddeiniolen, and 'Taith i Ben y Wyddfa' by 'Seneca'.

A volume in the autograph of John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd') containing material similar to, but not identical with, that published in Enwau Lleoedd Sir Gaernarfon : eu hystyr a'u hanes ..... Casgledig gan J. Jones (Myrddin Fardd) (Caernarfon, [1913]). Much of the writing has been crossed out but the notes can still be read. The volume also contains a number of press cuttings and some additional material, including a section on Enlli (Bardsey) place-names (pp. 91-2).

A fragment containing notes in the hand of John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd') and press cuttings (one by D. Lloyd 'formerly of Brownville, Me.', [USA]) on the place-names and antiquities mainly of Llandygái, with some additional material relating to Nant Ffrancon, Llanfairfechan, Llanfaglan and Penmachno.

A scrap-book compiled by John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd') containing material relating to Caernarvonshire poets and literary men, some of it included in Enwogion Sir Gaernarfon. One or two pages are wanting (133-4, 203-4). There is a list of contents at the beginning of the volume. Loose items include a letter, 1907, from 'Rhab' [John Daniel, ('Rhabanion')], Rheithordy Llandudwen, Ger Pwllheli to [ ] (John Owen's epigrams), and a note, undated, from 'Owain Môn' to 'Myrddin Fardd'. Letter 'V' on the spine.
