Seventy-seven pocket diaries of the Rev. Hugh (Cernyw) Williams (Hywel Cernyw, 1843-1937), Baptist minister at Corwen and Cynwyd, 1868-1918, writer and poet. The diaries form an unbroken run from 1860 to 1936 apart from 1878 for which there is no diary; in addition to the 1891 diary, there is a journal of a holiday at Harrogate and Southport, 17 June-20 July 1891 (NLW MS 22585A). Entries from 1864 onwards are mostly in English.
The diaries contain references to Robert Ellis (Cynddelw) (NLW MSS 22557-22574A passim).
