The topic of the 17 February speech was foreign affairs and the notes contain thought on Germany, the Soviet Union, the United Nations, Chinas and a printed copy of a speech given on 11 January 1951 at Chatham House by Kenneth Younger, Minister of State which is marked "Restricted". The file also includes a speech given by Gordon MacDonald at Blaina, Monmouthshire om 18 February 1951 on the United Nations and Peace. The Labour MP for Abertillery was Llywelyn Williams, MacDonald's son in law.
