A volume, 1873-1917, entitled 'Game Book and Vermin Book' belonging to Morris Davies. As well as listing the type of game killed there are remarks on the hunting and comments on the weather conditions. The number of vermin killed is listed separately between 1873 and 1878.

The dispute was apparently the result of a long-standing rift between parties which included the question of siting the church choir.
