A volume, in Welsh, containing a detailed record kept by David Rees Davies, in journal form, of events during his ministry at Tabernacl Baptist church, Foxhole, 1878-1901 (NLW MS 22248iC). Included are details of preaching engagements and of baptisms and burials at Tabernacl and other chapels in the area; together with a list of baptisms, 1875-1891, and burials, 1874-1894, of members of Tabernacl church (inverted text ff. 68v-70v). Papers found loose inside the volume have been filed separately (NLW MS 22248iiC) and include a letter of commendation, 1840, to David Davies to minister from the Independent Society meeting at Tre-boeth (item 1).

Miscellaneous papers, 1875-1920, connected with the history of Brynhyfryd Baptist church, Swansea, including minutes of meetings in connection with the establishment of the church, 1875-1880 (items 1-2); Brynhyfryd Baptist Sunday School register, 1879-1881 (item 22); contract for the erection of the chapel, July 1882 (item 34); and various other correspondence and printed material.

An historical account, compiled by its own historical committee, of the origins and early development of Brynhyfryd Baptist church, Swansea, 1875-1918 (ff. 1-35), with a summary account by Howell G. Morgan, secretary of the church, delivered at the jubilee celebrations of the church, 1918 (ff. 36-45).

A notebook containing a brief account in Welsh of the ceremonies of the laying of the foundation stone of Brynhyfryd Baptist church Schoolroom and of its official opening, with details of preparations for the opening, 1880-1881. The account is in the hand of the Rev. D[avid] R[ees] Davies, Foxhole.
