The series comprises papers, 1968-1987, mainly correspondence and plans, relating to design negotiations on the new Gwynedd County Council Headquarters at Caernarfon. They include letters from Ioan Bowen Rees, Chief Executive, and Merfyn H. Roberts, County Architect.

The file includes letters relating to courtyard designs; together with the fifteenth annual report, 1980, of the Caernarfon Civic Society concerning the developments in the town.

The series, 1985-1991, comprises papers accumulated by Wyn Thomas after the death of Dewi-Prys Thomas, including obituaries and tributes in his memory.

The file comprises a report Caernarvon. A street improvement scheme (Caernarvon, 1968) including a contribution by Dewi-Prys Thomas as a trustee of the Civic Trust; Richard White, Gwynedd Gristnogol Gynnar (Gwasg Eryri, Gwynedd, 1975); and Pencadlys Gwynedd Caernarfon. Lluniau'r safle (Gwynedd County Council, 1980); together with press cuttings from the Caernarfon Herald and the Llandudno Advertiser relating to the new headquarters.

The file comprises correspondence, 1980-1981, relating to the architect Brian Lingard's report submitted to the Caernarfon Civic Society responding to a statement made by Dewi-Prys Thomas, 2 June 1980, and the latter's response; together with a press cutting from the Western Mail, August 1987, announcing that Dewi-Prys Thomas had been awarded the Alwyn Lloyd Memorial Medal for Architecture at the National Eisteddfod held at Porthmadog for his work on the Pencadlys.
