A draft index of the correspondence was compiled by Tom Hooson's secretary and this is now kept in Box 1. The numbered sequence used in this index has been retained. Numbers refer to individual correspondents or organizations and one number may represent several letters or papers which are usually concerned with the same subject matter. Some letters appear to be wanting. Readers wishing to search for specific letters should first consult the index to find the letter number(s) they require.
