Gwyllllis Yn Nayd privately published by William Price in 1871 and written in his own, and almost incompre-hensible, version of the Welsh language (see A People and a Proletariat, pp 91-2).

Lease for 99 years, 29 July 1835, from the Rev Evan Jones, Colwinston, co Glam, to Thomas Thomas, Eglwysilan, of a messuage called Graig Galva, p Eglwysilan.

Letters from William Price,

Nine letters from William Price, comprising seven letters written in Welsh to his daughter Gwenhiolen, 1850 ( copy, 11) and 1861-9 (12-17), relating mainly to a law suit concerning the title to the Clungwyn estate, p Bedwas [This estate was devised by William PRICE's uncle Thomas Price (see no 3) to his son Charles Price who died without issue as did all the children of Thomas Price (see nos 26-8) ]; a letter to his sister Anne, 1872 (18); and a letter to H Heard, Cardiff, 1882 (19) [wrongly dated 23 May 1893 by William Price, that is, five months after his death, but the postmark on the accompanying envelope is dated 23 May 1882]; with an envelope addressed to Gwenhiolen from Boulogne, France, 1864 (20).

Six letters to William Price, c 1825-84, including a letter from his cousin Charles Price, c 1825 (5); copy letter, 1842, from Robert Crawshay, Cyfarthfa Castle, relating to a ball held in honour of the Prince of Wales at the Castle Inn, Merthyr, together with a poster advertizing the same (6); an incomplete letter, 1858, from John Davies, North Melbourne, Australia, and formerly of Treforest, co Glam, giving an account of his family in Australia and discussing the present 'bad' times in Treforest (7); and a letter, 1875, from Edward T Hall, Bristol, asking William Price to recommend books on Welsh history, together with William PRICE's draft reply on the dorse recommending The Myvyrian Archaeology (8).
