Account of 'the manner of raising the siege at Mountgomere Castle'. [The document, written by a Parliamentarian (unidentifed) who commanded 7 colours of foot, is not included amongst the letters relating to the raising of the siege published in The Montgomery Collections, Vol. XXII, pp. 186-98, and in Memoirs of The Civil War in Wales and the Marches by J. R. Phillips, Vol. II, pp. 201-9. While the narrative of events given in this account basically agrees with that of the published letters, it is worth noting that the information re the taking of prisoners differs in some respects from the published list of prisoners given on pp. 206-7 of The Civil War in Wales. The document appears to have been extracted from a volume and is cut off at the top.].
