Two thin exercise books containing (a) A treatise on Safle Cenedl y Cymry yn mhlith Cenedloedd y Ddaear, 1857, and (b) St Paul's voyage to Rome: a metrical version. At the opposite end, are notes of sermons by the Rev. Owen Thomas, Newtown, the Rev. Thomas Hughes, [ Machynlleth?], etc. Welsh.

Student's commonplace book,

An eighteenth century student's commonplace book, containing notes on theological, scientific and historical subjects, quotations from the classical authors, and abridgments of various works, etc. Typical entries are 'Experiments by Mr Carmichael, which I saw at Glasgow','An abridgment of Tullys Offices'. Inside the cover, in another hand: 'John Morgan his Book Bought of Humphrey Humphreys Carrier at Machynlleth April 21st 1800'. English; Latin; Greek.

Sarah Williams, Bontdolgadfan, account and memorandum book,

An account and memorandum book inscribed 'Sarah Williams, June 1885', containing a record of daily and weekly receipts and payments, 1890-1897, relating to the business carried on by Miss S. Williams at Bontdolgadfan, together with short diary jottings - references to the weather, etc. [cf. NLW MS 16763C]. The first few pages, however, relate to bee-keeping entitled 'Diary of work with bees and expenditure and proffit made with them', May-Sept. 1884. Welsh; English.
