The archive includes letters and greetings cards, 1953-1972, and correspondence and papers, 1966-1972, deriving from the many groups and societies with which Olwen Caradoc Evans was associated, including the steering committee of the Royal Cambrian Academy of Art and the Nant Conway Rural District Council. There are also family correspondence and papers, 1935-1945, and a file of personal correspondence, 1995-[1998]. There are also biographical and family papers, 1917-1941, research papers, 1904-1988, relating to the ancestry of Dr John Caeradoc Evans; research papers, 1846-1985, concerning the ancestry of Olwen Caradoc Evans herself; and press cuttings and photographs, 1967-1990. A volume entitled 'News cuttings Tu Hwnt i'r Bont, 1955' containing press cuttings relating mainly to the Nosweithiau Llawen held at Tu Hwnt i'r Bont, Llanrwst; her 'Come to Britain' trophy in 1956; her appointment as secretary-designate to the Welsh Board of the College of Nursing, 1962; her map collecting and a book review of her publication Maps of Wales and Welsh cartographers (London, 1964) in Country Quest, winter 1964; the restoration of Telford Bridge, Conway, 1966; together with her election address as an Independent candidate in the Caernarvonshire County Council Elections, 1967 (see also NLW MS 19,981E for her printed address to the electors of Division 15 of the Caernarvonshire County Council, March 1967, together with photocopies of a Welsh translation and a covering letter in the hand of Cynan); and other press cuttings reflecting her many interests.

Perllan Caradoc for old maps, prints and sea charts'; press releases about her exhibitions, 1982-91; a reprint from The Map Collector, September 1986, containing a profile entitled 'Olwen wins through'; together with a copy of the catalogue of the exhibition 'The Romance of Sea Charts of Wales', Ceredigion Museum, Aberystwyth, 1988, and catalogue of Olwen's collotype prints exhibition held at the National Museum of Wales, Llanberis, 1990.

Miscellaneous printed items, including theatre programmes, in particular those of The Conway Amateur Dramatic Society [pre 1972] - Olwen Caradoc Evans was its president.

Correspondence, agendas and minutes of meetings, 1966-67, of a steering committee of The Royal Cambrian Academy of Art set up to 'produce a concept for the promotion of the visual arts in Wales', the plan to include the establishing of centres in Cardiff, Mid Wales, and Plas Mawr, Conway. Olwen Caradoc Evans was a member of its steering committee.

Typescript minutes, 1972-74, of Nant Conway Rural District Council and of its committees, including the finance committee; she was one of its councillors.

Correspondence relating to the borrowing of a painting by her cousin, the artist Hugh Cronyn, in her possession, together with a press release issued by the Canadian High Commission concerning his London exhibition 'Paintings of Canada, England and France' in 1972, and postcards depicting his paintings of Tresco, Scilly Isles.

A framed typed letter, 11 June 1973, signed by Jimmy Carter, Governor of Atlanta, later President of the United States of America, to Olwen Caradoc Evans, thanking her for sending him a limited edition of a facsimile copy of the Signatures to the Declaration of Independence; with a typed letter, 31 August 1977, at the rear of the frame from the USA Embassy, London, on behalf of Mrs Carter, acknowledging her gift.

Press cuttings and photographs, 1967-90, including a copy of the letter, Privy Council Office, Whitehall, December 1972, appointing her a member of the Court of Governors of the National Library of Wales 'for a period of five years from the 13th day of February 1973'; and press cuttings relating to Dame Olwen Carey Evans (1892-1990) who was related to her through her husband Sir Thomas Carey Evans.

Biographical information assembled by Olwen Caradoc Evans, including a photocopy of the certificate, 1936, presented to her after completing a summer course at the University of Sorbonne, Paris, and of a certificate, indicating that she had participated in The Fine Art Trade Guild's Inaugural Seminar at Wembley in 1975.
