A book of tithe charges for p's Llanfihangel-Brynpabuan and Llanafanfawr, containing the amounts payable to the Vicar and to the Ecclesiastical Commissioners, and, in some cases, the extent of the several farms. The charges for the p's of Llanafanfawr were copied on March 9 1917.

A Form of Enquiry, issued in pursuance of the Welsh Church Act of 1914 and completed by John C. Owen, Llanafanfawr Vicarage, Garth, SO Breconshire. The form contains particulars as to incumbency as to buildings of tithe Rent charge of land and house property, of income from sources other than tithe, of endowments for particular purposes in connection with the benefice and of burial grounds. On the first page of the form are written the following words, in the Rev. J. C. Owen's hand:. 'I hereby respectfully record my solemn protest against the passing of the Welsh Church Act, and against the passing - without amendment - of the Suspensory Act of 1914, which has led to the demand that I should answer this difficult and complicated Form of Enquiry during the time of War'.

The list is signed by Hugh Jones, Thomas Edwards and Arthur Jones, overseers, but not, as provided by the form, by two Justices of the Peace for the county, and the particular year is not stated.
