Anne Jenkins diaries,

Diaries, 1886-1947, of Anne Jenkins, including details of daily farm tasks such as notes on potatoes planted at Trecefel and orders received; her interest in the well-being of her community; references to the weather; and literary quotations often written in red ink in her earlier diaries. Extracts from her diaries have been included in Bethan Phillips, Rhwng dau fyd : y swagman o Geredigion (Aberystwyth, 1998) and Pity the swagman : the Australian odyssey of a Victorian diarist (Aberystwyth, 2002).

Agricultural diary of D[aniel] J[ohn] Jones, Pencefn, Tregaron, January-August 1904, grandson of Joseph Jenkins. [He drowned on 28 August 1904 aged 16 along with his brother in the river Teifi near Trecefel]. There is a drawing of the sheep ear-marks used on Trecefel farm on the inside of the back cover.

A notebook used by Joseph Jenkins to chronicle his journey from Trecefel, Tregaron, December 1868, to Liverpool, and from Liverpool to Melbourne, Australia, March 1869, on board the SS Eurynome, including his observations on the sailing conditions, many poems inspired by his experiences at sea, and his early impressions of his adopted country .

A large volume used as a diary for entries, 1839-1861, 'A Book of Diaries made by Joseph Jenkins of Blaenplwyf ...'. These are brief entries, with many unused pages, and do not cover a whole year. Inside the front covers are some medical and other recipes. On the last page genealogical details of his children's births are given.
