A pocket notebook belonging, c. 1818, to the Reverend Christmas Evans (1766-1838), containing sermons in Welsh and English; an account by Christmas Evans of the dispute concerning 'Y Cyhuddiad yn erbyn C Evans yn y ddadl yn achos Evan Evans'; and other miscellaneous notes and memoranda. 'Note book of Christmas Evans. This book belonged to John Hughes of Ruthin, formerly a travelling companion of Christmas Evans, and was given by him to Dan Davies about 1849 at Llanelly, Breconshire. It was given by Mrs Davies to Thomas Thomas D D at Cardiff, June 1879' on front cover.
