A large file of notes, plans, and periodic observations made at the surface, dealing in part with the possible relation of the subsidence to the moisture content of the underlying clay; 1931-38. [cf. Folder containing a copy of what appears to be an essay under the title 'Central Wales'; another set of notes, also relating to Central Wales and to Edale in Derbyshire; notes concerning geological matters in Wales - 'Sedgwick's Journals' is written at the top of one of the pages suggesting that the notes are taken from the journals of Adam Sedgwick of Cambridge University, written c.1831, whilst on a trip in Wales (cf. MSS 32 and 35).
