Papers relating to the building of a power station for Swansea Corporation, for whom O. T. Jones acted as a consultant. The papers consist mainly of correspondence between O. T. Jones and Swansea Corporation on the one hand and Sir Cyril Kirkpatrick & Partners on the other, 1928-35. They are primarily concerned with the examination of various possible sites and the results of borings. Tir John Power Station was opened in 1935. [cf. A large file of notes, plans, and periodic observations made at the surface, dealing in part with the possible relation of the subsidence to the moisture content of the underlying clay; 1931-38. [cf. The action concerned Blaen Nant Ddu reservoir which, by agreement, had been emptied for three years to enable the plaintiffs to mine beneath it; they now oppose refilling the reservoir because of danger to their other mines. A large file of legal papers, plans, and technical evidence, 1920-27. Included among reports made by O. T. Jones is 'An analysis of the structure of the South Wales coalfield', 13pp. [cf.
