Political, literary, academic and personal papers of John Legonna, concerning Plaid Cymru, the New Nation group, the publication of 'Cilmeri' (of which he was both editor and secretary) and other periodicals, poetry and prose by John Legonna and others, the history and culture of Celtic nations, the role of women in society, the medieval Welsh law of women, the Farmers' Union of Wales, and John Legonna's final years.

Typescript and manuscript copies of academic works by John Legonna, some of which were intended for publication, including essays, reviews, notes and bibliographies relating to the history and culture of the Celtic nations, and also the history of Celtic Studies, as well as the historical role and perception of women in society, most notably a typescript of his thesis on 'The content of Welsh mediaeval law relating to women', which was submitted for the degree of B.Litt. at Exeter College, Oxford, 1951; also included is an analysis of Bishopston County Primary School compiled by Legonna while studying Education at the University College of Swansea, 1955.
