The file comprises plays, [1929]-[1978], including 'A bed of feathers', [based on his short story of the same title, 1929]; 'No escape', [1954], from his novel Under the rose (London, 1940) [later published in Ring up the curtain (London, 1955)], together with theatre programmes; a working copy of 'Girl waiting in the shade', based on the novel of the same title published in 1960, with 'General points' by the author; a script based on his novel [Nobody answered the bell (London, 1971)] and another version with the title 'Wolf, wolf'; together with 'Rings on her fingers' by Alma Jones, Bronyglyn, Gwynfe, Carmarthenshire, based on the novel of the same title by Rhys Davies published in 1930.

Sea urchin; adventures of Jorgen Jorgensen

The file comprises letters, 1938, relating to Rhys Davies's research on Jorgen Jorgensen who arrived in Hobart, Tasmania, in 1826, including typescript notes extracted from newspapers and documents held at the Premier's Office, Hobart, together with an incomplete account 'Iceland on a plate' by him about the adventurer [?published in The Tribune, January 1942] and a press cutting from The Tribune, January 1942, ?with the next chapter to this account entitled 'King Jorgen in decline'.

Julia and the bazooka

The file comprises some typescript stories by Anna Kavan for the volume Julia and the bazooka (London, 1970), with drafts of Rhys Davies's foreword to the book in manuscript and typescript, together with a typescript of 'A note on Anna Kavan' published in London Magazine, February 1970.
